Our traditional Christmas table
At Gripsholms Värdshus , we Värdshus the flavors of Christmas seriously. Here, we serve up a traditional Christmas buffet with everything you’d expect—and then some. Pickled herring, salmon, Jansson’s Temptation, Christmas ham, meatballs, and other classics are served alongside sweet Christmas favorites on a lavishly laden buffet table.
Take a seat in our beautiful dining rooms and enjoy delicious food, candlelight, and the festive atmosphere that makes Christmas so special.

Christmas table & a cozy winter stay
Make this year's Christmas table an extra memorable stay with our Christmas table package. The evening begins with a traditional Christmas table filled with classic flavors from Sörmland. Afterwards, one of our cozy rooms with comfortable beds awaits, where you sleep well while the city rests in winter peace.
Throughout the day, you can enjoy Mariefred’s winter-clad small-town idyll, shops decked out for Christmas, and the festive atmosphere of Christmas shopping. On November 29, there’s a Christmas market in Mariefred, and the town square fills with the scents of pine branches and mulled wine, as a warm Christmas spirit spreads throughout the town.
